The Emmy nominee is a fan of figure-hugging dresses in her signature mermaid bottom silhouette, and we can see why: Sofia has made jaws drop in the style on past Golden Globes, Emmy Awards and Met Gala red carpets. Our favorites include the deep cobalt Vera Wang gown she wore to the 2012 Golden Globes and the coral custom gown—also Vera Wang—worn to the Emmys in 2011.
But Vergara's sexy looks haven't all been seamless. In 2012, the back of her ornate turquoise Zuhair Murad gown split during the ceremony. Luckily, the zipper malfunction was fixed before she went on stage—just 20 minutes later—with the cast of Modern Family to accept the Best Comedy Series award.
For this year's Emmys, we predict a bright, curve-hugging gown in a fabulous bold hue and, of course, her much-loved mermaid silhouette.
