FXAmerican Horror Story: Coven has released new posters to promote the new season, and just like we've come to expect, they are both creepy and beautiful.
In one of the new photos, Angela Bassett's voodoo character has her eyes scratched out (probably not a good sign for her), while the other three pics show snakes, pins and levitating ladies.
As per usual with AHS, the photos make little to no sense right now, but will probably become very clear once the new season debuts on FX in October.
In the new promo released last week, we got our first glimpse of Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga and Evan Peters. The trailer introduced us to one of Coven's main settings: a school in New Orleans that teach young witches how to protect themselves against the recent mysterious attacks that have been plaguing their kind. Executive producer Tim Minear previewed the new installment during the TCA Summer Press Tour in August.
"This year is a drama, but there is a lot of humor. We are embracing a kind of velocity and fun with the series this year," he said. "This is going to be the most friendly place for women on television this year. Friendly, until we do the things we do."

Coven will premiere Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. on FX.
