She may be best known for her role as Aria on the hit series Pretty Little Liars, but Lucy Hale is adding another role to her resume: country musician!

The brunette beauty opened up to Self magazine about the release of her first country album and why she is following her heart and pursuing music.

"I'm scared as hell," the 24-year-old confessed. "Some days I go to sleep and I'm like, What am I doing? People aren't going to take me seriously.  Music is my favorite thing, and I'm going to fight to make it happen."

Hale looks exuberant and chic in the cover shot, standing and posing with her hands resting on her head. Her look is athletic but chic: a bright orange and red dress with a matching sports bra. And a big smile!

The actress also explained that it doesn't bother her too much if photographers take photos of her in a bikini but that she tries to "suck it in."

"I was on the beach in Hawaii and there were paparazzi in the bushes," the starlet said. "I don't think anybody wants to be photographed in their bikini unless you're a Victoria's Secret model. There's always a little voice in my head that says, Suck it in a little more—but you know, I'm so comfortable with who I am, I'm just like, screw it! Take pictures!

Love that confidence!

The starlet also weighed in on the need for women to speak up for each other, and how she translated this into her upcoming album.

"Women don't speak up for women enough," Hale explained. " We're sort of in this cycle of judging or hating one another. I recorded a song about how every girl is fighting her own battle and struggling. At the end of the day, no matter where you're from, what you look like or what you do, we're all the same."
