Home is where the heart is!
When Bill and Giuliana Rancic started planning how they would decorate their dream home in Brentwood, Calif., they settled on two main themes: Clean lines and comfort. The latter was especially important since when the couple (who also have a pad in Chicago) moved into their new digs, they did so with their infant son, Duke.
Luckily, the new parents created the exact balance they were hopping for thanks to a little help from interior designer Lonni Paul.
"Lonni loves to show you something pricey and then something that is a great bargain," the E! News host shares in the 2013 October issue of Traditional Home magazine. "It's the testament of someone who truly understands style and design."
So what did the new parents settle on? A color palette of blue, gray and ivory tones throughout the home to create a relaxed environment. The serene theme continues in the bathroom, which includes an oversize tub and TV. The master bedroom features subtle personal touches such as monogrammed pillows, which, similarly, baby Duke also has his in his room in the form of initials craved on his crib. Lastly, an outdoor seating area takes advantage of Los Angeles' year-round sunny weather.
"This is the most meaningful of any place we've lived in together, because it's where we brought our baby home and became parents," explains Giuliana. "In past years, we've always been in a hotel during the holidays. This year, we will put up our own tree."
