We thought we had seen the scariest side of Taylor Momsen when she would coat her eyes in black kohl, but now we realize her old look was more Beetlejuice than horror.

As of when this photo was taken, she's officially turned up the fright factor—red-rimmed eyes with chalk white eye shadow and creepy bottom lashes—makes us think she's been watching the American Horror: Coven trailers on repeat.

We just don't get it. She's such a pretty girl and it's like she will do anything in her power not to be described as pretty.  Well, in this case, mission accomplished.

Beauty Bailout: Where do we begin? We clearly can't suggest our favorite fresh-faced makeup look for Taylor. We mean, look at her… This is obviously someone who embraces her dark side.

Now we're not going to go total Red Rum with our bailout because we do believe she can still look edgy without looking scary. We think a black double-winged eye would be perfect – edgy and dark but won't make us sleep with the lights on.

To create a double-winged eye, start by covering your upper eye area in an off-white powder eye shadow like Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Bone.  Then, contour your creases by using a small tapered crease brush dipped in a matte brown eye shadow like Cover Girl Eye Enhancers 1 Kit Shadows in Brown Smolder 740 in a windshield wiper motion.

Next, use an easy to apply waterproof liquid black eyeliner like MAKEUP FOR EVER Aqua Liner in Matte Black to make a line along your upper lash line. You want the line to be thin from the inner corners of your eyes to the center of your lash line. Then, you want to gradually make the line thicker.

Once you get to the outer corner of your eye, draw a line towards your temple (instead of the upwards swoop of a traditional winged eye). Next, draw a line along your lower lash line and extend it in the same direction and at the same length as your upper lash line wing.

To give this look more drama, once the eyeliner on the lower lash line is dry, smudge a black matte eyeshadow over the line, blending it with a Q-Tip to give it a smokier look.

To make the double wings really pop, apply a light highlighter eye shadow like MAC Eye Shadow in White Frost between the wings and extend towards the temples. While you're at it, apply some of that highlighter to your brow bones to give your eyes a lift.

Once the winged eyes were done, we would want to add a little pop of color on Taylor's lips to ensure people didn't ask her if she was an extra on The Walking Dead.  We wouldn't dream of putting brooding Taylor in a fun fuchsia or trendy coral (though you know we want to) so we would give into her Goth ways and apply a vampy lipstick like Topshop Lips in Beguiled.

If we would have seen Taylor on the red carpet we probably wouldn't have been able to resist plucking those false eyelashes off her lower lash line and taking a tissue to that undead red.  We know these are all just baby steps, but we need to do our part to make sure Taylor stops scaring the neighborhood kids. Anyone else frightened to see what she'll pull for Halloween?
