Call it Charlie Sheen's day off—only it lasted 30 years.

The erstwhile Warlock finally received his high school diploma thanks to a little assist from Jay Leno when he appeared on Wednesday's The Tonight Show.

"I had 198.5 credits and I needed 200 to graduate...I was that close," Sheen replied when asked by the funnyman about the last time he was on the program and mentioned missing out on that milestone (and it wasn't because he was in trouble with the law like his drugged-out Ferris Bueller character; his Hollywood career was already taking off by then).

But the Anger Management star, now 48, revealed he recently fulfilled his requirements, only the planned ceremony he was hoping to attend was thwarted by a shooting that took place at Santa Monica College.

Enter Leno, who decided to lend a hand.

"Oh, so you didn't get to go?...Well I got something for ya," said the comedian, at which point he had Sheen put on a cap and gown.

"I know this has bothered you for a long time," noted Leno, who then beckoned Charlie's longtime friend Tony, a baseball coach in Santa Monica, to come out and present the actor with his long overdue diploma.

The two exchanged hugs upon which his buddy announced, "On behalf of Santa Monica High School class of 1983 and class of 2013, it is my honor as your friend of over 30 years to present you with your official…high school diploma."

After flipping his tassle over to the correct side, Sheen thanked the studio audience and viewers for sharing in the moment and tossed his cap into the air, per tradition.

Maybe now Charlie can star in a remake of Back to School? Just sayin'.
