Lou Rocco/ABCKatie Couric got a romantic surprise on her show today.
While filming the season two premiere of her talk show Katie this morning in NYC, the newly engaged star received a bouquet of roses from her husband-to-be John Molner.
The 56-year-old host was beaming and flashing a smile from ear to ear when Molner popped up during the taping and presented her with a bundle of red roses. Molner, dressed in a suit, flashed an equally large smile during the surprise.
Molner, 50, proposed to Couric over Labor Day weekend in the Hamptons earlier this month.
She dished on the romantic proposal to People last week, saying, "He said that there was a reason he'd brought me there to the beach, and that he loved me and was committed to me, and I said, 'Yeah, I know that, you didn't have to bring me here to tell me that.'"
She added, "Finally he said, 'Couric, I'm trying to propose to you,'" she says, "and I was stunned."
Prior to Molner's surprise, Couric was snapped arriving at ABC studios this morning without any makeup. She flashed a grin sans any cosmetics with her wet hair back before going into hair and makeup.
She sure does have that engagement glow.
