Carrie Underwood Trips—But Doesn't Falter—During Texas Concert

Hitmaker lived the old adage "the show must go on" after a rough misstep during her show in Corpus Christi

Nothing can get Carrie Underwood down—not even a nasty spill onstage.

The country star was performing in South Texas Thursday night when she took a couple of big steps backwards and her five-inch stilettos accidentally caught the tail of her extra-long shirt, causing her to trip and fall and seemingly injure herself.

But proving she's a professional through and through, 30-year-old Underwood didn't stop singing. Despite the embarrassing misstep, she survived to tell the tale.

"Hey, remember that time in Corpus Christi when that girl busted her butt on stage?! Hilarious! Oh wait, that was me! #5inchneels #klutz," the "Play On" singer said, linking to an Instagram video a fan sent her of the goof.

She later added: "I can't move my toes. Is that bad?"

Underwood also retweeted some kind thoughts from another fan who wrote, "@carrieunderwood didn't fall tonight. She attacked the floor…While wearing five inch heels…She's got mad ninja skills. #FeelBetter."

The well-wishes seemed to have done some good as the former American Idol winner gave an update on her condition and revealed that any injury to her foot is temporary, though she's wearing a walking brace as a precaution.

"Good news, it's not broken...AND I got some new footwear!" said Underwood.

Hopefully, the six-time Grammy winner will be back on her feet and feeling 100 percent for tonight's scheduled concert at State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.

After that, Underwood can rest up as she looks forward to the debut this Sunday of her version of the Sunday Night Football theme song, "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night" as the New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys. She's also set to co-host The 47th Annual CMA Awards airing on ABC Nov. 6 and will play the Julie Andrews role in a televised production of the latter's 1965 classic, The Sound of Music," premiering on NBC Dec. 5.
