While most of the world will have to somehow deal with seeing less of Ryan Gosling, there is a handful people who don't have to worry as much.
Like the stars of his upcoming writing and directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster.
"He's written a great film now and he's going to direct—that's his break," said The Host's Saorise Ronan, who will costar in the film alongside Eva Mendes and Christina Hendricks. "That's Ryan's break!"
It's not like Gosling's retiring. As he's had to explain, he's only taking a time out from acting.
Cameras won't be rolling on Monster until later in the spring. "We haven't done a read-through or anything yet," Ronan said. "We're rehearsing in the next few weeks."
For now, she has the anticipation of The Host's success resting on her Melanie/Wanda shoulders.
However, Ronan refuses to let the ubiquitous comparisons to Twilight get to her. "It probably won't be as big as Twilight, but there's nothing wrong with that," she said. "Twilight was so huge and such a phenomenon that I think it'll be a while before anything like that happens again."
We've got more Ronan for you. Come back to E! Online later on and make sure to tune into E! News at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
