Reese Witherspoon kicked off her 37th birthday with a bang Thursday, heading to Cabo San Lucas with her hubby Jim Toth for a romantic, kids-free vacay.
The This Means War star, who rang in her big 3-7 Friday, and Toth were whisked away from the airport in a chauffeured car to Capella Pedregal, where they were set to enjoy a four-day stay.
And enjoy they did.
The couple stayed right on the beach in a one bedroom suite that had a private pool, a source tells E! News, with Witherspoon spending her birthday laying by the pool, tanning and relaxing. She later hopped in the pool with her hubby for a swim, and then headed to the hot tub to warm up.
For lunch, the couple dined on Mexican food by the pool, including chips and tacos, and shared a bottle of wine.
"At the end of the meal, Reese laid back in her chair and stretched with a big smile on her face," a source said. "Jim put his arm around her and kissed her forehead. They walked back to their room holding hands and enjoying the afternoon."
After some fun in the sun, the Oscar-winning actress enjoyed spa treatments all afternoon while Toth stepped away to take care of some business and set up a private seafood dinner for the duo by the pool.
"They ate by a bonfire and toasted with another bottle of wine," the source continued. "Reese seemed very happy and appreciative. There were candles and flowers everywhere and she was very impressed with everything that Jim had put together."
How romantic!
This is the superstar thesp's second trip to Mexico this month, after she headed to Tulum, showing off her beach body with BFFs Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore.
