The Book of Mormon is primed to take London by storm—and plenty of celebs were on hand to herald its arrival last night at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

Alas, the Prince of Wales himself couldn't make it, but Kate Winslet and program-clutching hubby Ned Rocknroll, Damian Lewis and wife Helen McRory, Thor star Tom Hiddleston and a slew of members of the Downton Abbey cast hit the event in honor of Matt Parker and Trey Stone's Tony Award-winning musical.

Among the Downton Abbey lot who made it out Thursday were Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael, Sophie McShera, Lesley Nicol and Brendan Coyle.

Boardwalk Empire star Michael Shannon also made the scene, as did British talk show host Graham Norton, thesp Sarah Alexander and hubby Peter SerafinowiczDuran Duran frontman Simon LeBon and model wife Yasmin, his bandmate Nick Rhodes and comedian Jimmy Carr

The raunchy, critically acclaimed production has proved a big hit with A-list theatergoers in the U.S., with Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel having enjoyed date night on Broadway just last weekend.

Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner star in the London production as Elders Price and Cunningham.

"Obviously we're nervous about every company that opens anywhere," Stone, Parker by his side, told Britain's ITN at the premiere, "but South Park's been on here for a while, and we were raised on British comedy. We met because we loved Monty Python."
