Steven Spielberg might be a little too busy for Jurassic Park IV after all.

Don't worry, the 3-D addition to the billion-dollar franchise is still getting made, of course—and how—but Safety Not Guaranteed helmer Colin Trevorrow has just been named as director, while Spielberg will serve as executive producer.

This ties up another loose end for the long-gestating sequel, which is due in theaters June 13, 2014. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) penned the script.

In case you haven't yet seen the Independent Spirit Award-winning Safety Not Guaranteed, Treverrow's name was also mentioned in the who-will-direct-Star Wars: Episode VII conversation before J.J. Abrams ran away with the job.

Jurassic Park IV will be the 36-year-old filmmaker's first mega-budget movie for a major studio, let alone his first venture into 3-D. And, he's got a whole franchise to revive—though Spielberg will get the first stab at that when the original Jurassic Park is rereleased in IMAX 3-D (and 3-D and RealD!) on April 5.

2001's Jurassic Park III, helmed by Joe Johnston, was the least lucrative installment of the series to date, its $369 million global box office relatively paltry compared to the Spielberg-helmed The Lost World: Jurassic Park's $619 million and the original's $915 million.

No pressure whatsoever.
