Michelle Obama has won over a number of fashion fans over the last four years, proving that she's aware of up-and-coming designers (ahem, Thom Browne), while also remaining very much in tune with the American constituency, sporting accessible looks from mass retailers like J.Crew and White House Black Market.

And while she typically receives two thumbs up for the majority of her wardrobe choices, she's got one severe critic who can't stand her style: Vivienne Westwood.

That's right, the renowned fashion designer who also criticized Kate Middleton for not recycling her clothes more, is now taking a stab at FLOTUS.

"It's dreadful what she wears. She's a very nice-looking lady, but it's a nonstarter regarding clothes that suit her,' Westwood told The New York Times at Paris Fashion Week. "Jackie Kennedy was a different matter altogether. It just has to suit her and be something that makes a human being more glamorous. That's what fashion is there for. It's there to help, not just to make you look more conservative."
