One man's loss is another man's gain.

Michael Jordan is definitely proving the old adage true as he has just picked up this incredible waterfront foreclosure in Cornelius, N.C.

Now, this isn't the typical foreclosure listing that you and I picture—where we can swoop in and pick up a home for next to nothing.

Not even close!

Michael paid a whopping $2.8 million for the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home.

Considering all of the amenities, however, it still sounds like a steal.

The home is surrounded by water on three sides and the fourth side faces the Peninsula Golf Course. There is also a gorgeous pool, a private dock and a boardwalk outlining the property.

Inside is a grand master staircase and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize the view, which can be enjoyed from almost every single room.

While this would certainly be (more than) sufficient for most of us, Michael also owns a $12.8 million mansion in Jupiter, Fla.
