March is just around the corner, which means it's almost time to start pulling out your shorts, putting on your tank tops and getting your bikini bod back in shape (eek!).

But before we have to grin and bare our spring figure, we caught up with former Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett at OK! Magazine's pre-Grammy party in Hollywood and asked the former E! star to share three rules for diet and fitness.

Since the NBC Splash star is famous for her flawless bod, we're not surprised the mother of one had some great tips for keeping fit and trim!

Read on to hear Kendra's words of workout wisdom, and then head to the gym to try the blond beauty's trusted health tricks.

1. Try New Things, But Do What Works for You: "You can look at it as a fashion," the former E! star explains. "You know, you would never wear something that doesn't reflect your personality, so you have to find a workout that reflects your personality. You don't want to do anything that is out of your comfort zone, there's so many things out there now a days. There's spin—they make it fun now!—there's hot yoga, there's ballet, there's all types of things you can do…It's like fashion, you gotta have it reflect your personality, but be open to trying new things."

2. Skip the Bread and Grab a Smaller Plate: "Eat clean. Anything that is too thick, too greasy, too salty, too sugary, don't eat it. You know what I'm saying? You can eat anything, but just don't eat too much salt with it, don't eat too much sugar and don't eat the whole thing! I've been doing the little plate thing lately, and it's really been working for me…So get small plates, I think that's a big, huge thing. It works. It really does. And skip the bread, you don't need bread!"

3. Find Something (or Someone!) to Keep You Motivated: "I think you need something to stay motivated for. I think you need a goal. Not just a goal, but someone, something…you always need to have a reason to look good. And whether it be a man, a hot guy that you've always found the sexiest guy in the world, your biggest crush, work, you gotta have someone or something to inspire you to look good. It doesn't always have to be someone like a crush, it could be like an event, always look forward to something and you'll always want to look good."
