Kate Middleton isn't just hitting up the Gap these days.

Prince William's pregnant wife visited a maternity shop on trendy King's Road in London last week, a royal insider exclusively tells E! News, one of the recent indicators that the Duchess of Cambridge is "getting excited and starting to prepare" for their little heir's arrival in July.

Overall, "Kate's been laying low," says the source. "She's been staying at Kensington Palace and living the life of a duchess."

"She hasn't been out a lot," the insider continues, "but when she has been out she has been doing a little bit of shopping. This week she went to Oxford Street and last week she went to the King's Road, one of her favorite places to shop. From her actions, I get the feeling she is feeling better."

Rest assured, Middleton's adoring public isn't missing out on a big reveal while she chooses to maintain a low profile.

"There is no sign of a bump yet," notes the royal source.
