After George Clooney and Julianna Margulies' impromptu ER reunion at the Golden Globes, it got us thinking. Wouldn't it be great if the Oscar winner popped up on Margulies' hit CBS series, The Good Wife?

Well, don't count on it happening.

"I don't think George Clooney will ever do The Good Wife," Margulies told me this weekend at the Producers Guild of America Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Back in the '90s, the two were one of television's hottest onscreen couples, playing nurse Carol Hathaway and Dr. Doug Ross on the long-running NBC drama.

"I think George is going quite well," Margulies smiled. "He doesn't need me."

George Clooney, Jon Hamm and Ben Affleck are too handsome at the Golden Globes

However, Margulies did admit, "It would be fun."

We totally agree.
