We have a feeling she'll definitely be getting the famous Colbert bump.

Stephen Colbert's sister, Elizabeth Colbert-Busch, is planning to run for a seat in Congress in their beloved home state of South Carolina.

At least she's not vying for the President of the United States of America of South Carolina, a bid her comedian brother briefly flirted with in 2008 and then again in 2012.

Per St. Andrews Patch, which first broke the news, Colbert's older sibling plans to file candidacy papers next Tuesday to run for the Democratic nomination for the state's First Congressional District.

Colbert-Busch, a mother of three, works as the director of sales and marketing for Clemson University's Wind Turbine Drivetrain Testing Facility. This will be her first campaign for public office.

Should she win her primary on March 19, her potential rival on the Republican side could end up being former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford, who resigned abruptly in 2011 in the wake of an extramarital affair.

No doubt, Colbert would get a lot of comic mileage out of that!
