Kelly Ripa's early-morning perkiness? That's down to her bubbly, made-for-TV personality. Her facial perkiness? That's down to something the 42-year-old morning host has come by a little less naturally.

The Live with Kelly and Michael chatter confessed to Elle magazine that her preternaturally young visage has had a helping hand along the way, revealing that she has had Botox.

Ripa was joined by her interviewer at a New York City spin class, and when she emerged distinctly less sweaty than her fellow workout cohorts, she was quick to explain her trade secret.

"It's the Botox," she said, adding that she will, on occasion, get injections in her armpits to avoid sweating. And then there's the occasional jab to her HD-ready face.

"Every seven months or so, my eyelid skin rests on my eyelashes. So I feel like it makes my makeup artist's life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now."

Guess she's ready for an even closer close-up.
