And frankly, we'll take Armageddon over the resurgence of whatever trend they're trotting out on their respective Golden Globe carpets (Leakes in Carolina Herrera this year, Streep in Alessandra Rich last year). Colonial chic? Frontier formal? Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman for Target?
The whole purpose of clothes made of this much cloth was to protect women against the dangers of life on the prairie. So unless these ladies are hiding a militia of mini-publicists under their hoop skirts, we're begging for this trend to die of dysentery.
