The second week of The Bachelor is usually my favorite (besides the finale) because we start to really get to know the girls, but I found myself still feeling like I don't know many of them after this episode (except Desiree). Hopefully we'll get to know them more next week. This is what I think so far...
I love that Sean brought Sarah on the first date and think it's great that it was a physical date. It shows he doesn't look at her differently just because of her arm. Free falling off the side of a building for champagne is quite a date. I hope it was some seriously good champagne waiting for them down there! In past seasons, the person who gets the "scary" date usually goes far in the season. Science even says that going through a scary situation with a person can make you feel closer to them. That said, I just didn't see any sparks between them. I'm not so sure that she will be the one for Sean in the end.
The group date was drama as always. Definitely saw the sexual energy between Sean and Kristy (how could anyone miss it?), but didn't really see anything beyond that. I think Sean is a dude, and Kristy was rubbing her body up against his asking if he liked it, which is like asking if Sean has good abs. The answer is an obvious yes.
Good for Katie for sending herself home on this group date. Honestly, she should probably be the Bachelorette next season. At least we know she wasn't sticking around for the wrong reasons. It‘s always important to follow your heart on this show, even if it leads you home.
The date with Desiree was my favorite. I just adore her! I have to say that the joke Sean played on her kind of seemed mean to me at first, but when I sit and think about it, I think it was a good idea. It was a harmless prank and Sean ended it quickly (what a good guy). You have to understand that on this show, you only have a little over two months to find someone you think you could spend the rest of your life with. Sometimes it's necessary to do things that you might not do (especially on a first date) to make sure you are keeping the right people around. However, I did feel bad for her. I probably would have started crying. I think she was laughing out of nervousness and handled it very well.
The end of the date was my favorite. First, I love seeing that house (it's where all the Bachelors/Bachelorettes stay, so it brings back memories). And secondly, their stories about their parents were so sweet. Is it just me or do they seem like a great match?! I'm pulling for Desiree. If Desiree isn't chosen by Sean in the end, I think there is a good chance she will be the next Bachelorette. But I think her ex might show up at some point (based on the previews) and if she leaves, then I'm guessing she won't be back for another season.

From Alexis Foulke (@afoulke1): Can y'all really not eat dinner on camera?
There is food on camera, people just usually don't eat that much on camera because you are so focused on the date. I remember food always getting cold on my dates because we were mostly focused on getting to know each other. If Sean and a girl eat their entire plates during a date, I would read that as a bad sign because they might not have much to talk about. Your time with the Bachelor is limited. You don't want to waste it eating. You want to get to know him and let him get to know you! But as soon as the date is over, you stuff your face! At least I did.
From Katie Martin (@Katie_Martin8): What do that girls do everyday in the house when they're not on dates?
Well let's see, you aren't allowed music, TV, books, magazines, pretty much anything that will take your focus away from the experience you're going through. So I think it's safe to say that this is one of the major reasons that the girls go so crazy in the house. You have no stimulation outside of talking to a group of girls about a guy that you are all dating at the same time. So you sit around the pool and talk about the experience and the Bachelor. It can make you feel like you are losing your mind.
From Lauren Bagley (@lmbagley): Do you pay for all the dresses or does ABC/stylist provide them?
All the girls are responsible for the dresses they wear on the show. Except for the final rose ceremony—those final two girls are given dresses. Basically, the producers tell you to pack 11 dresses or more when you come on the show. I only bought my dress for the first night. The rest I borrowed from friends.
From Whitley Gaffney (@WhitleyGaffney): Is there actually a week between dates? What does everyone do in their off time?
Not exactly, maybe sometimes. Usually there are four or five days between rose ceremonies. We always just say "this week" because it's easier and honestly, you loose track of time. The whole time feels a lot longer than it is.
I'll end this with my Quote of the Night. It has to go to Catherine: "I'm vegan, but I love the beef."
Uhhhh, I think she means that she is vegan, but likes that Sean has muscles. Or was she referring to something sexual? I don't know, but that was a very odd comment. Ha!
