Katy Perry and John Mayer Get Down and Dirty During Hawaiian Vacation

Couple wound up playing in the mud while ringing in the New Year

For many, the beginning of a new year means a clean slate.

But if you're Katy Perry or John Mayer, it can also be about getting a little dirty, too.

That's just what the cute couple did while ringing in 2013 last week as they vacationed in Hawaii.

Perry, who opted for a more fresh-faced look, joined her man through a trek in the mud as they took a ride at Kauai ATV Tours.

Mayer was later spotted proudly snapping pics of Perry as she posed in matching shorts and top.

The two have certainly been spending a lot of time together, including another recent holiday, Christmas.

Can't wait to see what these lovebirds have planned for Valentine's Day!
