Naomi Watts, Connie Britton and Eric Stonestreet helped kick-start the Golden Globes party train last night at Audi's annual shindig at Cecconi's West Hollywood.

The powerhouse nominees and a gaggle of our other faves like Julie Bowen, Chord Overstreet, Anthony Mackie and Kate Bosworth crowded into the celebrity restaurant.

No surprise, but red carpet looks for Sunday's big show (airing on NBC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT) were a hot topic of conversation.

"I think I have it narrowed down to two," said Britton, who is nominated for her work on freshman series Nashville. "[That's] pretty food. They're on the complete opposite ends of the spectrum so it's kind of fun because I can go one way or the other…

"I'm going to do one more fitting this week," she added. "And I think that's going to be the big moment. I'm going to take a couple of friends and we're going to be like, 'OK, we're going to get this done.'"

Modern Family's Bowen thinks she's found the one. "It's a peacock blue dress and very vintage looking," she said.

Like Bowen, Stonestreet said he's hoping their costar Sofia Vergara picks up a Globe this year. "I'm always rooting for the home team because you know that it's not always going to be this way," he said.

Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston said after his hit crystal meth drama comes to an end, he'd like to return to the funny stuff. "I would actually like to do a light comedy," he said. "You do a drama for a long time or more dramatic films like Argo and…you sort of long for a little change of pace."
