Prince William looked pretty impressive rehearsing for royal daddy duty today.

The dashing 29-year-old along with the mother of his future children, Kate Middleton, were at a reception in London to honor British soldiers who recreated a 1912 sled race to the South Pole to raise money for injured members of the nation's armed forces—but it was this wee trouper who stole the show.

Both Will and Kate fawned over little Hugo, whom the prince called "sweet."

Not that they forgot about the real reason they were there or anything!

"The same levels of courage and determination demonstrated by our Antarctic heroes in 1912 and 2012 are shown each and every day by our wounded servicemen and women," Will addressed the reception. "Their courage and spirit simply humble me."

The honorees pulled 300-pound sleds for 70 days until they reached their destination—a feat most definitely worthy of royal recognition.

But we can only hope that, in addition to the rush of patriotism Will and Kate surely felt, they caught themselves a case of baby fever.
