Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are happily married, but that doesn't mean their relationship is spared from public scrutiny.

This past fall, rumors spread that the spouses of 15 years had separated, and the parents of Jaden, 13, and Willow, 11, quickly denied the false reports. Now, in a new interview with French magazine Gala (excerpted by People), Jada says she has "no idea" why the speculation about her marriage won't go away.

But she and her famous hubby, 43, aren't bothered by all the talk…

"Will and I know the truth," the actress says. "We're waiting peacefully for the storm to blow over."

"Every year, one celebrity couple is under the microscope," she reasons. "This year, unluckily, it's us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it."

Jada, 40, says that she and her husband do spend a lot of time apart when they're working on individual projects, but rumors that they no longer live in the same house are "ridiculous" and they've "always lived together."

Fortunately, Willow and Jaden haven't let the speculation about their parents' marriage get them down. Both kids have already accomplished a lot in their own entertainment careers, but their superstar parents are careful not to pressure them.

"As a mom, I'm very proud to see them pursuing the things they love," Jada says. "We leave them enough space to express themselves and make their dreams come true. We leave them free to make their own choices. We try not to live through them."
