You'll never guess which 25-year-old, sometimes brunette, was spotted cramming herself into a windless nook—to light a cigarette perhaps?—in SoHo yesterday.
The young actress-turned-designer looked street chic in simple black jeans, a gorgeous deep blue velvet blazer, tan printed oversized scarf and—are you ready for this?—a $39,000 alligator backpack slung across her back. That's not a typo. Yowza!
Can you guess which starlet was seen sporting a bag worth the price of a small house in the Midwest?
It's Mary-Kate Olsen!
This mini mogul and her twin sister, Ashley Olsen—who grace the April cover of Elle UK—were recently nominated for a Womenswear Designer of the Year award from CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America). The award is for their label, The Row, and fellow noms include Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler designers, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.
The awards ceremony will be held on June 4th at Alice Tully Hall, and you better believe we'll bring you all the latest!
