Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man suit may have made him feel like a superhero, but it was also super uncomfortable.

"It's made of something that is designed to make you irritated," the 28-year-old actor quipped during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I don't know the material name, but that's the description underneath."

DeGeneres then asked, "[The suit's] so skintight, it seems like you would see lines of underwear or something like that. Is there anything under there?"

"It's just me," Emma Stone's beau admitted, adding that he felt very exposed in the costume. "It's the worst."

The talk-show host didn't have any suggestions regarding the suit, but she did offer up a helpful costume for if and when Garfield's Spider-Man fame becomes too much to handle. "I wanna help you to be able to live your life freely," she said, handing him a mullet wig and stick-on mustache.

Garfield proceeded to try out his new look, and lo and behold, he was unrecognizable.

"I feel like I should be talking in a German accent," he joked.

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters July 3.
