Listen here, Kate McKinnon, no pressure but you better bring the funny. And with that, welcome!

This fresh-faced, blue-eyed babe is the newest recruit to Saturday Night Live's comedic cast, and if you're skeptical (which is understandable) then you'll be pleased to hear that you won't have to wait too long to see Kate do her thang.

McKinnon is slated to make an appearance on SNL as early as next weekend (yes, that's the weekend Sofia Vergara is hosting, so you know you'll be watching).

The 27-year-old starred on the first three seasons of the Rosie O'Donnell-produced Big Gay Sketch Show. You might remember her as the character Fitzwilliam, a British boy whose only wish is to have a vagina.

Speaking of, Kate also worked on the 2010 web series Vag Magazine, running a fictional feminist magazine with other comedians, and will be Saturday Night Live's first out lesbian to join the cast since 1985.

Are you excited to see a new face on the show? Sound off in the comments!
