The highly anticipated prequel/spinoff to Alien, which also features Noomi RapaceGuy Pearce and Idris Elba, revolves around a team of explorers who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth. This knowledge in turn leads them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe where they fight a terrifying battle for the future of the human race.

Although this second trailer reveals a bit more information for fans than the first teaser trailer, Charlize, Michael, and Ridley didn't take questions from the crowd at WonderCon. But Ridley did reveal not only his hopes for a sequel, but the flick's need for one as well.

Ridley shared: "If we're lucky, there will be a second part of this [film], [as] the film does leave you with some nice big open questions."

Prometheus hits theaters June 8th.
