Now that's something you don't hear every day.

As hard as it must have been for Ali Landry and Alejandro Monteverde (have you seen them, people?!), the couple refused to get intimate before walking down the aisle, and Landry explained that there was a specific reason behind this approach.

Or should we say, specific person...

The mother of two recalled her previous six-year relationship with Mario Lopez on The Wendy Williams Show today; she says the relationship ended two weeks after they married due to infidelity and so she wanted move slowly with Monteverde.

"Because of the situation I was in before, I was just treading lightly, and did not want to make any mistakes in this relationship," she said on the show. "We abstained from having sex until we got married."

And although we're sure Landry's experience with Lopez was painful, the gorgeous brunette shared that it taught her to stick to her gut.

"I had heard something right before the wedding. He swore that it was not true, but I had that feeling in my gut," Landry said. "All of my family was flying in—it was a destination wedding—and I really should have put the brakes on it at that point, but I was afraid."

Well, it all worked out. Lopez has since fessed up to a pre-wedding indiscretion and found new love while Landry ended up taking a theology class in Los Angeles where she met her future husband.

Funny how things happen.
