Quick! Name the new shows this season that center around a group of couples/friends. We'll wait.

There's quite a few, right? And tonight, we get one more. Happy Endings is also a show revolving around a group of friends, except the difference is the first episode is basically about how the group could be ripped apart when Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) leaves Dave (Zachary Knighton) at the altar. But that's only the beginning:

"We do drink on the show a lot," says Casey Wilson, who plays the "very single but hopeful" Penny. And then there's Adam Pally, whose character Max is gay, but who tells us that Max's sexuality isn't his defining trait on the show.

While the main storyline of the pilot is the left-at-the altar situation, the show flourishes beyond the first episode, with the hilarious dynamic among the group of six friends turning ordinary events into highly entertaining situations.

But why not let the cast explain Happy Endings themselves? Watch to see what the gang has to say; plus, someone outs a character on Friends, and now things will never be the same. Happy Endings begins tonight on ABC at 9:30 p.m. after Modern Family.
