Just an hour or two after Nicole Scherzinger was crowned the winner of Dancing With the Stars, we ran into our pal, former waltzing contender Gilles Marini. We gotta tell ya, this guy never has a bad thing to say about anyone.

"I started watching [this season] a little more as soon as she was not in the show anymore," Marini told us at the launch event for Ubisoft video game Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. "For me, I want to see less drama, more of someone that really tries hard and pulls through.
"Dancing With the Stars is really good at that," he continued. "If you don't put the time and your mind into it, you're not lasting, and I think this is what happened to her."
We have a feeling Marini will not be picking up the new issue of People magazine. Gosselin is on the cover with—who else?—her and Jon's eight kids.
