Tiger Woods is a total family man.

No, this isn't another one of our Counterpunch columns. The golf guru said so himself…just days before the crash that made our view of him come tumbling down.

On Nov. 17, a mere 10 days before the Thanksgiving fire hydrant hijinks, Woods sat down for a chat with New Zealand's Sky Sport reporter Murray Deaker. During the interview that aired today on the other side of the world, he makes no mention of Jaimee Grubbs, Rachel Uchitel, Jamie Jungers or any of his partners in "infidelity," but he does rave about his wife, Elin Nordegren, and two children.

"[Having a family] has been great, actually, the best thing that ever happened," he says.

When asked if a mentality of "family first, golf second" has always been his mentality, Tiger insists, "Always, always."

We just have to ask, If family comes first and golf comes second, where do a dozen or so alleged mistresses fit in?
