Jersey Shore is nowhere near as big as Twilight, but it does have a love triangle that just may rival the one between Bella, Edward and Jacob.

First, a quick recap: In last week's premiere episode, it looked like Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola had a love connection with housemate Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, but before we could say "sausage and peppas," Sweetheart was off getting cozy with another housemate, Ronnie Margo.

In other words, Team Situation vs. Team Ronnie is on, baby!

Are Ronnie and Sammi still together? Read on to find out…

"Me and Sammi are good," Ronnie told me earlier today. "We're good. I'm actually with her right now."

Like gonna-get-married good? "No, we're not engaged," the 23-year-old Bronx native said. "But everything is great between us and things look good for us in the future."

What's it like with Mike right now? "I think Mike's salty about the situation a little bit," Ronnie said. "I think he's still a little heartbroken, but hopefully he'll get over it sooner or later."

If not, it's not like Ronnie has anything to worry about. The guy is one big piece of muscle. He insists he's not juiced up on steroids. "I've taken supplements over the counter and ordered stuff online, but never steroids," he said. "You don't have to be on steroids to look good. It's about what you eat."

Like his costars, Ronnie dismisses criticism that the show promotes negative stereotypes about Italians. "Half the people in the house aren't even Italian," he said. "'Guido' is just a term. You don't have to be Italian to be a guido. Anyone who carries themselves well or always just want to do good things in life and has a nice car, has a good job, treats people the right way, you know?"

Defintiely not treating someone the right way? The guy who hit housemate Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi in the face during an altercation in a bar.

"Everytime I see it, I have to turn my head," Ronnie said. "It was like she was a man. You never put your hands on a woman."
