Welcome to the jungle, paparazzi.

Axl Rose took to the Guns N' Roses MySpace blog to hit back at what he says was an "unruly" group of photographers who swarmed his crew at LAX.

"Axl Rose, lead singer for the legendary rock group Guns N' Roses, was unhurt last evening when he was accosted by an unruly group of paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)," says the message, which came after an Internet report accusing Rose of beating down a shutterbug.

So, Axl, tell us what really went down.

"Mr. Rose, who was about to enter a security checkpoint at LAX when the altercation took place, was approached by a group of unchecked and unruly photographers, who became aggressive with the singer and female members of the traveling group."

An LAX spokeswoman said no officers were in the vicinity of the beatdown when it happened.

But video posted on TMZ seemingly shows Rose with an appetite for some paparazzi destruction. After photogs snapped pictures of him and his lady friend, Rose appears to whack the shooter upside the head.

Rose was not arrested and allowed to board his flight to Taiwan for his first "official" tour in support of last year's Chinese Democracy.
