To answer the above headline: Yes, all is merry and bright in network-land.

There were several strong ratings performances Wednesday, including the fall finale of Glee (estimated 8.1 million viewers) and Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People special (10.5 million), featuring the prime-time return of ABC-exiled Adam Lambert.

Glee made out with a record number of teens, Fox said; Walters' show got the Alphabet network into the game at 10 p.m.

CBS' Criminal Minds (night-best 14.3 million) and ABC's comedy block of Modern Family (9.6 million) and Cougar Town (6.9 million) both topped Glee at 9 p.m. CBS' CSI: NY (13 million) led Walters at 10 p.m. Michelle Obama showed up Barack Obama in Most Fascinating People voting. (Nobel, schmobel!)
