Fergie and Josh's First Red Carpet Since Strippergate

Celebrity couple is all smiles and very lovey-dovey as they hit star-studded L.A. premiere of Nine

If Fergie and Josh Duhamel are having problems these days, it sure didn't show last night.

Duhamel was by his wife's side at the Los Angeles premiere of her new musical movie Nine.

It was the first red carpet appearance for the couple since facing tabloid reports in late October that Duhamel cheated on the Black Eyed Peas singer with an Atlanta stripper. The actor has denied the allegations.

They arrived together, but...

Before stepping onto the red carpet, Fergie walked across the street from the theater to sign autographs for screaming fans. They shouted for Duhamel, but he stayed back.

Once on the carpet, they posed arm-in-arm for photographers. After a few minutes, Duhamel made his way into the theater, but not before planting a small kiss on Fergie's forehead.

Inside the theater, Duhamel beamed from ear to ear when director Rob Marshall introduced Fergie to the audience.

And the couple's love train rolled on into the VIP afterparty at the Sunset Tower Hotel, where they were joined at the hip. The two, who were spotted earlier in the day going for a run together near their L.A.-area home, held hands and rubbed each other's backs as they chatted with folks like Jeremy Piven and David Spade before taking off at about 11 p.m.

Fergie's body was slamming last night in a black minidress and killer heels (from her own shoe collection, by the way). But that's not exactly how she looked in the movie, in which she plays a whore in  a small Italian village in the 1920s. She packed on about 20 pounds for the role.

"I think by throwing herself into it physically with the weight…she wanted to look like a woman of that time," Marshall told me. "She approached it with such fearlessness."

And with such an appetite!

"We'd have Italian food every day." choreographer and producer John DeLuca said. "Fergie would sit with the food and she really ate—like garbage. I'd sit there and watch and be like, 'How can you digest that kind of food?'"
