Caught! Neil Patrick Harris Clams Up About Lambert

NPH skirts Adam’s scandal at the Trevor Project's Cracked Xmas event in Los Angeles

Neil Patrick Harris was honored last night at the Trevor Project's Cracked Xmas event at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. The Trevor Project is the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ youth.

Neil, all smiles and looking thin yet dashing in a black suit, seemed super happy and shocked that he was being celebrated for his continued support of the Trevor Project. He was accompanied by longtime boyfriend David Burtka, and the two were adorable together enjoying their VIP dinner close to the stage.

So what did Neil, a role model to many gay youth out there, have to say about the recent Adam Lambert censoring?

Nothing.

Neil told us he didn't feel like it was his place to comment on that situation. We agree with him to an extent, since it doesn't totally involve him, but we know there are a lot of young kids out there who see the way ABC pulled the plug on many of Lambert's performances (after just one sexually suggestive show) and feel confused about whether it had to do with his sexual orientation. We actually think an articulate and smart guy like Harris could be perfect to comment on the situation, but we get it.

Another fella at the Cracked Xmas event keeping an unusually low profile was...

Jason Segel, who hung solo most of the night. Jason is about as straight as they come in this sleazy town, but he was more than happy to show up to the event last night and help bring awareness to such an important cause. Totally cool.

Jase seemed in good spirits as he hung with Neil, his How I Met Your Mother costar, for a bit, and shockingly wasn't creeping on any of the ladies there. Segel is notorious for his awkwardly forward pickup ways, but was more focused on the event than any of the boobs around him. He even laughed off his "womanizer" title when people around him tried to make jokes about it.

Other celebs in attendance: Kim and Khloé Kardashian, sticking tight together at the shindig but making sure to say hello to fellow Dancing With the Stars alum Kelly Osbourne.
