Meet True Blood's Sexy New Werewolf!
Anna Paquin's Sookie Stackhouse is just about the luckiest girl in the world.
Not only does the True Blood lead get to canoodle with the likes of Alex Skarsgård's vampire Eric and Stephen Moyer's vampire Bill, but now she gets a sexy werewolf, too?
HBO confirms that True Blood producers have cast Joe Manganiello as sexy werewolf Alcide Herveaux for season three of the cult-hit supernatural series.
Here's what we can tell you about this character, and the actor who's just won the part:
This Just In: Good Girls Go Bad on Gossip
• Gossip Girl: Imagine us tapping our fingers together evilly and saying "egggsellent..." in the voice of Monty Burns from The Simpsons, because that's our reaction to reports that vixen Kaitlin Cooper Agnes Andrews (Willa Holland) has rejoined Gossip Girl, where she will no doubt contribute greatly to the coming deliquency of Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen).
• True Blood: Yay to the hundredth power. This news comes from the department of awesomeness: Alfre Woodard (awesome) is set to guest star as the mother of Nelsan Ellis' Lafayette Reynolds (awesome) on True Blood (awesome).
• Community: Jack Black and a mystery comedian to be named later will both guest on Community later this season. So long as Jessica Alba and Cloris Leachman aren't involved à la Black's weirdo gig on The Office...
Plus, find out when Gilmore Girls mama Lauren Graham is going to be back on your TV...
Don't Look Now, but 30 Rock Could Actually Lose an Award! (We Know, Crazy)
For two years running now, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and 30 Rock have swept nearly all the major categories at the Golden Globes and the Emmy Awards, but that may be about to change, my friends.
See, it's actually a stellar year for freshman TV comedy, which is why I didn't mind getting up bright dark and early at 2 a.m. for our live E! coverage of the 2010 Golden Globe nominations this morning. Because along with the usual nods for the still-deserving 30 Rock clan, we also saw nominations for newcomers we love, like Glee (four nominations, and that's more than 30 Rock!), Modern Family, Toni Collette (United States of Tara) and Edie Falco (Nurse Jackie).
It also didn't hurt that John Krasinski was in the house to read off names (though he didn't stick around for any interviews afterward...boo).
So who was left out? What does Dexter's Michael C. Hall have to say about his nomination and John Lithgow?

Spoiler Chat: Is Jenny Humphrey a Gossip Girl Homewrecker?
Oh, Jenny, you're having a bad year, aren't you? Gossip Girl's would-be Queen Bee can't even reign supreme in her own school—and the "petty megalomaniac" look flatters no one—and now she's going to be a homewrecker, too?
Word on the street is that Taylor Momsen's Little J gets entangled in another love triangle this season, but is she breaking up Chuck and Blair? We've got the truth.
Plus, if you're looking for hints about the Lost character resurrection and who's dead after the Desperate Housewives plane crash, you're in the right place...
Eloise in Sacramento, Calif.: Is Eastwick being picked up by Lifetime? It's all over the abc.com boards that this is going to happen, and I know that you are the only person who can get us the truth! Thank you so much!
This Just In: Glee Makes Your Monday Better With "Slushie Jam"
Glee: Already missing one of the bright spots on your Wednesday-night lineup (the other being Modern Family, duh!)? Well, at least you don't have to go through this harrowing separation anxiety empty-handed. The season-one DVD Glee: The Road to Sectionals hits shelves Dec. 29, and with extras like the "Slushie Jam" (which you can see for yourself in the clip above), how can we not feel the love from the folks at Fox?
Lost: Promo pictures have arrived! The season-six cast shots for Lost include Claire (yay!), Miles and all the usuals you know and love.
So You Think You Can Dance: Think Adam Lambert is a big-time performer for the SYTYCD finale? Think again. FOX has just tapped Jennifer Lopez, Leona Lewis and Mary J. Blige to take the stage during the dance-champ reveal.
Meanwhile, over in the land of Gossip Girl...

As usual, someone died.
But unlike usual, this death just might go down as one of the most shocking deaths ever on television.

Pick Your Girl on Top Tournament Contenders
Giovanni Rufino/The CW; Jordin Althaus/NBC; Craig Sjodin/ABC; ABC/Mario Perez; Kelsey McNeal/FOX; Sonja Flemming/Showtime; ABC/ Randy Holmes; ABC Family/Eric McCandless; Fred Norris/The CW; Carin Baer/FOX; Prashant Gupta/FX; Frank Ockenfels/AMC
After we did Alpha Male Madness in March to determine your very favorite TV leading man, many of you requested we do a female version as well. We're launching that tournament today and running it through the holidays. This tournament is tentatively called Girl on Top, but if you have another name suggestion (perhaps one with less sexual inneundo?), please do post it in the comments.
We learned from the first tournament that you guys want some control over who is included in the brackets, so we're offering up 128 of the best female characters on TV for an initital selection round. This means you guys can decide who should be included in Girl on Top and at what rank they enter the initial 64-contestant tournament.
The 128 initial names have been divided into four groups of 32. You should vote for your faves in every group, and we'll automatically include the top 12 names in each group at that rank. We're reserving the last four slots in each group for "editor's choice," which allows for both whismy and for write-in votes to get some play.
Ready...set...go!

Can Law & Order: SVU Exist Without Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni?
Fret not, tubers. Law & Order: SVU's sexy sex-crimes avengers aren't going anywhere yet, but after last summer's contract-negotiation waiting game, we're still nervous about the fate of our favorite detective series, should the duo decide to call it quits after the 11th season wraps.
When we asked show runner Neal Baer if SVU would continue on without its stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni, he told us, "I don't know, it's a good question because we've never tested that. What's weird is that I was looking at the show titles Wednesday night, and it was like, 'Oh my God, everybody's back together again from when I first came on in year two!' It's a very unusual situation. I can't think of another show where that's happened."
OK, that wasn't quite the definitive answer we were hoping for, but Neal did share some things that point to a promising future for SVU, including the possibility of a buzzworthy Benson-Stabler hookup, a maybe-return to the coveted 10 p.m. time slot and, oh yeah, Sayid from Lost coming by to shoot someone...

Get Ready to Freak: Dexter Boss Dishes on Sunday's Mind-Blowing Finale
Here's just about the most surprising thing we've heard all week: Dexter boss Clyde Phillips is not pissed with Showtime's promo department for releasing at least one truly spoilery sneak-peek video before this Sunday's highly anticipated and ultrasecret season finale.
"We have nothing to do with what clips are selected," Clyde tells me. "But they do a great job and I can't quibble with them."
Say whaaaa?
I mean, hello, Clyde, they've basically spoiled what has to be one of the biggest reveals of the finale: That Deb is figuring out who Dexter is, and even knows the Ice Truck Killer was his brother! In fact, Jennifer Carpenter (Deb) just played coy with us on that very matter.
Unless…Oh. Dear. God. What if that's only the teensiest tip of the iceberg of what goes down? What if the finale is that huge?
That certainly would explain why the Dexter bosses have employed some extreme tactics to prevent spoilers from leaking.
Here's what Clyde tells us exclusively…
This Just In: Flight of the Conchords Is No More
Flight of the Conchords: Noooooooooo! OK, we know there were rumors this might happen, but still, it doesn't lessen the sting: Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords have announced on their website that their quirky and hilarious HBO show won't be back for a third season. Pretty stunning, given its critical praise and recent Emmy accolades (Jemaine was nominated for Best Comedy Actor earlier this year).
"We've noticed the less we say about the future of the show, the more people want to talk about it," they wrote. "So in an effort to reverse this trend we are today announcing that we won't be returning for a third season. We're very proud of the two seasons we made, and we like the way the show ended." But we don't like that it's ending at all!
