This Just In: Heroes Expected to End, Ugly Betty Gets New Home

Sendhil Ramamurthy, Greg Grunberg, James Kyson, Masi Oka, Heroes 3.25: An Invisible Thread NBC Photo: Trae Patton

Heroes: The fans have spoken. One day after you voted by an overwhelming majority that you'd like Sendhil Ramamurthy to be the next star killed off of Heroes, NBC announced he's been cast in a new pilot called Rex Is Not Your Lawyer. So this means his character Mohinder is going to die, right? Well...maybe. There might be a much bigger death in the works: the series. A well-placed Heroes source tells me of Sendhil's casting: "Everyone is expecting this to be the last season. The cast, the crew, everyone." Which would explain why Sendhil has been cast in an NBC pilot. Clearly, the Peacock peeps wouldn't place Sendhil (who is pretty funny in real life, by the way, and who should do well on a dramedy) on a new series if they expected a conflict ahead.

A rep for NBC tells us: "Rex is just a pilot right now, so [Sendhil] is still on Heroes. Rex is in second position to Heroes." Other recent members of the "second position" club, who were cast on a new series before their own series was officially canceled include: Brian Austin Green (Terminator/Body Politic), Lindsay Price (Lipstick Jungle/Eastwick) and Tyler Labine (Reaper/Sons of Tucson)...and many others I'm sure we're forgetting.

Oh, and possibly Ashley Jensen, who now stars on Accidentally on Purpose after leaving Ugly Betty, which just got a shiny new time slot that may be its salvation...

Oh Baby! Tonight's Glee Has the Moment We've All Been Waiting For

Glee, Jessalyn Gilsig, Matthew Morrison Carin Baer/Fox

"I call it 'The Reckoning.' "

This is what Jessalyn Gilsig tells us about tonight's episode of Glee, in which "it all blows up."

Jessalyn, of course, flawlessly plays Will's (Matthew Morrison) hilariously flawed wife, Terri, who has been harboring a crazy secret all season long: That "baby bump" she's rocking is actually of the Styrofoam variety.

And tonight, it all comes to a head. (The secret, not the baby, that is.)

So are Will and Terri doomed? And does this mean Jessalyn will leave the show? Here's the scoop...

Will James Franco Join His Little Bro on the New Scrubs?

James Franco, Dave Franco Valerie Macon/Getty Images; ABC/Bob D'Amico

The new, revamped version of Scrubs premieres tonight, and you'll finally get to meet the new "next generation" cast, including one Dave Franco, who is not only a heartthrob in his own right, but just so happens to be movie star James Franco's little brother!

We know there's room at Sacred Heart for new faces, since old-timers like Zach Braff are moving on to other projects, but are there any plans to bring the Spider-Man baddie onto the ABC comedy for a guest stint?

Here's what we're hearing from original castmembers about the presence of the Franco brothers in Scrubs-land:

This Just In: Vampire Diaries and True Blood Casting; Plus, Get a "Jump" on Glee!

Kelly Hu Nancy Kaszerman/ZUMApress.com

Vampire Diaries: The CW has confirmed to us that Kelly Hu is the latest lucky bitc...er, fine actress to cozy up to the brothers Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley). Kelly just tweeted: "1st time in Atlanta 2 shoot Vampire Diaries. Thot I was going to get mugged on the way home from Whole Foods. That's ok, I know karate." Nice! Kelly will be appearing in flashbacks as an apothecary named Pearl, but contrary to other reports, she doesn't go door to door and accidentally try to sell vervain to Katherine (Nina Dobrev). We'll first see her on Jan. 28.

Nicole Richie Show: The former Simple Life star and new mom has written on her website about her just-announced new ABC series: "I am creating a half hour scripted comedy for ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing...I can't wait to share more with you soon!" She also babbles on a bit about what inspired the new show, which you can read here. (Here's hoping the series is better written.)

True Blood/Prison Break: Lincoln's (Dominic Purcell) little boy Marshall Allman is all growed up and heading to HBO's True Blood to play Sam's little bro! According to E.W., Shannon Lucio, who also appeared on Prison Break was the GATE receptionist who turned out to be an undercover Fed, has been cast as Bill's wife, Caroline. Hey, casting directors, how about bringing on that guy from Mariah Carey's old video as a vampire? Wentworth something or other?

Are You Ready for the Nicole Richie Show on ABC?

Nicole Richie Mike Guastella/Getty Images

It's not an easy thing to transition from reality TV to scripted fare (just ask everyone who ever had higher ambitions than starring on The Hills), but Nicole Richie is ready to make the leap.

The popular tabloid personality, famous for being famous as well as for her five seasons on The Simple Life with then best friend Paris Hilton, has signed a deal with ABC to star in a half-hour comedy.

According to Variety, the pilot for the as-yet-untitled show is based on Richie's original idea and will be written by 30 Rock scribe Daisy Gardner and executive produced by Warren Bell and Jamie Tarses. (Bell is a nice fella best known for surviving seven seasons as the show runner of the much-maligned Jim Belushi comedy According to Jim; Tarses ran ABC for three years in the 1990s.)

But enough business chit-chat! What does Richie herself have to say about all this?

Spoiler Chat: Dexter Will Make You Lose Your Mind

Michael C. Hall, Dexter Randy Tepper/Showtime

Dexter is "ridiculous!"

This just in from Michelle in Toronto, who is only about the (oh, let's see, carry the one and we've got) gazillionth fan to email today about  Dexter.

Thankfully, she means ridiculous in a good way. And luckily for you all, we are similarly obsessed and just got what may be a big spoiler on the final two episodes from Dex's show runner Clyde Phillips. (Disclaimer: It is only a short tease, but it is spattery enough you might want to wear protective gear.)

As for what's next for Chuck and Blair on Gossip Girl, Wilson on House and Owen and Cristina on Grey's Anatomy, we've got a little scoop on that, too.

Trent in Salem, Ore.: How I Met Your Mother is on fire this season! Do you know anything more about the 100th episode yet?

TNT Cancels Mark-Paul Gosselaar's Raising the Bar

Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Raising the Bar Karen Neal/TNT

Anybody wanna hire Zack Morris for a TV show or a Saved by the Bell reunion movie? Because he's free...

Sources confirm to us exclusively that TNT is not renewing the Mark-Paul Gosselaar legal drama Raising the Bar for a third season. A rep for the network says, "Everyone at TNT had a great experience working on Raising the Bar with Steven Bochco and the rest of the show's terrific cast and crew. We're proud of the series and appreciate the efforts of all of the creative people who were involved. Unfortunately, ratings for Raising the Bar's second season did not reach the levels required for TNT to renew the series."

TNT has not yet scheduled the three remaining unaired episodes of the series about a group of New York City public defenders and city district attorneys who studied law together and now face off in the courtroom.

This Just In: "Best Promo Ever" for Lost and Alec Baldwin Has Lost His Mind

Alec Baldwin Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images

30 Rock: Alec Baldwin has fallen and hit his head. OK, not really, but that's the only way we can explain the comments he's made to Men's Journal, saying he will quit showbiz in 2012 after his contract is up with 30 Rock. "I don't have any interest in acting anymore," he told the mag. "I'm not young, but I have time to do something else." He said he also considers his "entire movie career a complete failure." Yo, Alec! Who cares about movies? You're only the most successful TV comedy actor around. (For evidence look to all those trophies crowding your mantel.) If 30 Rock goes on for 30 years, Jack Donaghy better be there.

Thin Ice: The new Dancing With the Stars on skates has crowned its hosts (Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Kurt Browning) and judges (Kristi Yamaguchi and Dick Button) and will premiere March 19 on ABC.

Lost: Holy kickass promo! Since ABC and Lost's producers have decided not to show a single frame of the upcoming season, at least one international outlet (Spain's Cuatro network) has busted out what boss Carlton Cuse just retweeted is the "best promo ever"...

Psst...Did You Hear There's a Big Death on Heroes Tonight? Do You Care?

Milo Ventimiglia, Adrian Pasdar, Heroes 3.01: The Second Coming NBC Photo: Chris Haston

Unless you've been living under a rock with noise-canceling headphones (or recently encountered a sexy Haitian), you've probably heard by now that—I guess we should say Spoiler Alert here?—Adrian Pasdar's character, Nathan Petrelli, is getting killed off of Heroes tonight.

It is without a doubt the worst-kept secret of the TV season.

After we reported Adrian's impending exit as a blind riddle, executive producer Tim Kring confirmed the news to TV Guide magazine, and now USA Today has a big flashy interview with Adrian himself (and also Kring).

Yo, NBC and Kring, people like read that and stuff!

This is…odd. Usually such major character deaths are kept under lock and key, even if something has been leaked by the press (think George/T.R. Knight on Grey's Anatomy), but NBC and Kring seem to be shouting Adrian's "surprising" exit from the rooftops.

Why? And why should you care?
