Lost Video: New Mysteries Revealed

Dharma logo, Lost ABC

Holler! Those nefarious nice folks over at the Dharma Initiative have released a new video in anticipation of Lost's season-five premiere on ABC on Jan. 21.

The video, posted just moments ago, reveals a little secret about Ben Linus, the title of episode seven and offers up a brand-spankin'-new Dharma logo. What shall we call it? The Lantern? The Phallic Symbol?

See the video for yourself right here...

If you can't see the video above, the dish is this:

  • Ben Linus will be reading a copy of James Joyce's Ulysses in ep seven. (Ulysses and its predecessor, Homer's The Odyssey, have been alluded to on the show but not featured onscreen.)
  • Episode seven of Lost season five is titled "316."
  • According to Lost cocreator Damon Lindelof: "There are at least two reasons [episode seven] is called '316.' " Have anything to do with John?

As for that logo, which you can spot in situ in the last seconds of the video, it appears to be a beacon of some kind.

What do you think it looks like? Do you think it has an associated Dharma station on the Island...or perhaps off the Island? And what's the significance of 316? Somebody, quick, do the math, and then post in the comments.
