Is Grey's Anatomy's Major Hottie Leaving Town?

Uh-oh. It looks like Grey's Anatomy's Major Hottie (Kevin McKidd) may have a reason to take a break from Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Seattle Grace.

Wait a minute--he just got here, he's in the midst of a burgeoning romance with one of the series' leading ladies, and he's already a fan favorite!

What could possibly compel the newest attending to leave his post at Seattle Grace so soon?

Could it be some behind-the-scenes drama?

Nope, backstage scandal is not the cause for a possible McKidd timeout--he might have another gig to get to: a Rome film!

Yep, Lucius Vorenus might be back in the saddle for Rome if plans for a movie version go forward. As Rome creator Bruno Heller told the Live Feed, "There is talk of doing a movie version...It's moving along. It's not there until it is there. I would love to round that show off."

As for Lucius' mysterious fate, Heller told the Feed, "It was very deliberate that we saw him drifting away but didn't see him atop a funeral pyre."

Other good news? We know that for now, Kevin/Hottie is a series regular on Grey's, and sources tell me Rhimes & Co. are digging him on the show (as are most of you fans), so with any luck, they could work this Rome flick around his Grey's schedule.

I fell hard for Rome in season two, so I wouldn't mind one bit if it were necessary for Kevin to leave Seattle temporarily and travel to Rome. What's your take? Vote in the poll below and then post in the comments!
