Superman returns indeed! Clark Kent (Tom Welling), Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) and all the rest are back for season eight this Thursday at 8 p.m. on the CW.

Want answers to your burning Q's about Smallville? Read on!

Jesse in Barrie, Ontario: Kristin, got any big scoop on Smallville?

Some of the favorites we know and love, including Lana, Martha, Jonathan and, most significantly, the Martian Manhunter (Phil Morris), pop up in the season premiere. Ah, sweet memories!

Harper in West Hollywood. Calif.: We've seen so many regulars leave Smallville lately. Can you please confirm who's staying and who's going?
Kristin Kreuk
is gone but coming back for five episodes; Michael Rosenbaum is full-on gone. Erica Durance, Justin Harltey and Aaron Ashmore are all listed as regulars in the credits, as are Samuel Witwer and Cassidy Freeman, who play Doomsday and Tess, respectively. By written order from Lex himself, Tess is in charge of Luther Corp. if he vanishes off the face of the earth (or leaves the show of his own accord, however you want to look at it). Tess is diabolical, awesome and hanging on to a certain power crystal.

Audrey: On Smallville, what Oliver Queen/Green Arrow scoop do you have?
I can tell you there will be a hot, sexy fight scene between two of our leading men. Oliver also leads the charge to save Supes. It goes horribly awry a couple of times, but all in all, Greenie does good.

Ljiljana: Hi Kristin, do you have any spoilers on Chloe's powers on Smallville? They're supposed to change in the premiere, and I'm dying to know how!
Chloe has always been scoopy-doo smart, but it turns out there was a reason for it. Her powers are developing this year, and it starts off with a little turbo IQ. It's too bad Luthor Corp. minions have their hands on her.

Siobhan: Those silly powers of Chloe's have continued to suck since they stuck her with them. When will they be done with that awful storyline? It's beyond lame...
Chloe's powers are evolving, but if you hated that whole rejuvenation-and-revivification power, I think you'll be pleased to know that it doesn't work in the first episode, just when it's needed the most.

Donna in Niceville, Fla.: I was wondering if you had any juicy scoop on what the wonderful Chloe Sullivan will be up to on Smallville? Will she and Clark finally get together? What will her relationship with Davis/Doomsday be like?
Chloe and Clark will not be together, but they do share some exceptionally sweet moments in the season premiere—several scenes will be great fodder for your Chlark fanvids. Executive producer Darren Swimmer told me about Chloe's relationship with the erstwhile Doomsday: "Davis and Chloe trust each other and like each other. There are some romantic underpinnings. There's a lot of chemistry between them. There will be a bit of a triangle between Davis, Jimmy and Chloe."

Wynn: On Smallville, is Chloe going to die in episode 10?
Even though episode 10 is still in the works, since Allison Mack is around for the whole season, I'm going take a flyer and say, no, Chloe is not going to die.

Margaret: Please tell us the writers have come to their senses and will dump the Chloe-Jimmy relationship we never liked and the wedding no one wants to watch.
Actually, that whole proposal business with Jimmy comes up at the end of the first episode, and Chloe finally gives her once-and-for-all answer.

Trisha in Chicago: We have not heard a lot about what Lois Lane will be doing this season on Smallville?
Looks like the CW is laying the sex appeal on thick; we get Lois in a French maid outfit in the premiere, and no, she is not actually feather dusting anything.

Bianca: Hey Kristin! I was wondering if you have any good Clark-Lois news on Smallville. We know they will be working at the Daily Planet together this coming season, so I was wondering if you have any scoop on that.
I'm sure there will plenty of Clark and Lois scenes at the Daily Planet seeing as their desks are immediately adjacent to each other in the newsroom. (As we reported in the Smallville feature couple of weeks back, this season, the show will dive into the classic Superman mythology like never before.)

BONUS SUPERNATURAL QUESTION

Eileen in Shanghai: Thank you for your Supernatural dish! Now, tell me, why does it seem like it's only Dean that gets to go back in time and meet his parents? Why doesn't Sam get to go too?
I checked on this for you and was told "the fans will just have to wait and see." I'm just guessing here, but I think perhaps there will be a twist in the episode that means Sam eventually gets a little parental love and affection, too.

Now, take a peek at the preview scenes below, and be sure to check out the Smallville and Supernatural season premieres on the CW tomorrow at 8 and 9 p.m., and then come back to post your take on those episodes right here in the comments!
