House: Lisa Edelstein Is Not Pregnant

Way to get our hopes up, Star magazine! The outlet reported this morning (in a story that's since been taken down) that Lisa Edelstein (Dr. Lisa Cuddy on Fox's House) is pregnant. This got us unreasonably excited, because if Lisa is pregnant, that means the writers very well might make Cuddy pregnant.

But alas, Lisa's rep told me that Star's report is not true and that Lisa Edelstein is not pregnant. According to her publicist, "Perhaps she'll be pregnant one of these days, but not yet. Not sure where the rumor began, but it's not true."

My dreams of House being Cuddy's sperm donor are once again cruelly dashed. Edelstein told us earlier this year: "There is a parallel between myself and Dr. Cuddy, only because of my age as an actress and the timing of the show. When the show started, I told the producers that at some point during the run of the show, if it was successful, that I was going to get pregnant one way or another. So they planted that seed in the character's story so it would be possible for me as a woman to experience that."

We do know that this season on House, Cuddy will be canoodling with the new private investigator character, and there are persistent rumors that Dr. Allison Cameron will be pregnant this year (which I will be grilling Jennifer Morrison and the writers about tomorrow when I visit the set, believe you me).

Now, post in the comments if you have any feelings about who should be having babies with whom. If you have Q's for the cast, post them below as well, or email me at tvdiva@eonline.com, and I will get you answers!
