If there was one season finale that caused a boatload of controversy in recent months, it was the season-ender of The Killing. And when AMC's head of original programming Joel Stillerman took the stage at the Television Critics Association press tour, he was prepared to face the firing squad of questions.

Not only did he defend the first-season finale, he also revealed that season two would not travel down the same elusive path. Find out what he had to say, and get the latest on House, Breaking Bad and more in today's TV update...

While Stillerman admitted that AMC didn't "manage expectations" as best as they could, he still stuck by the "brilliant" story The Killing created. "For everybody who was frustrated, we hear you. We would have taken a different approach to managing the expectations about what was going to happen," he said. "It was never intentionally meant to mislead anybody. Our goal was to create a brilliant piece of character-based story telling. We think we got there, but we definitely didn't manage expectations the way they should have been managed."

And maybe as a way to placate the press and fans, Stillerman revealed that season two of The Killing will "definitively" have answers. "You will find out who killed Rosie Larsen in season two." If you're still watching.

House: Either someone is trying to barter his way out of jail, or he's throwing himself a big ol' pill party. TVLine.com is reporting that the season-eight premiere of House is titled "Twenty Vicodin." Additionally, Michael Paré has been cast to play the prison warden, possibly on the receiving end of the drug bribe. These are just theories, though. You guys can continue the speculation in the comments.

Entourage: In case anyone wanted to buy the famous Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) Entourage house, you're out of luck. It was just sold for a cool $4.2 million.

Mad Men: Also revealed at TCAs today? Jon Hamm will be directing the season-five premiere of Mad Men, which will debut around March/April of 2012. The cast starts shooting the new season on Monday, August 8.

Breaking Bad: TVGuide.com has a sneak peek of Walt's (Bryan Cranston) wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) butting heads with Saul (Bob Odenkirk) over what to purchase as a front for the meth business. You know, the usual stuff married people quarrel over.

MTV Video Music Awards: MTV has announced that Adele, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne will perform at the VMAs on Aug. 28.
