Of all the series presented to advertisers today (at both the Fox and NBC upfronts), we'll swear that Zooey Deschanel's New Girl got the warmest reception. Emily's little sister joins Fox in a half-hour single-camera comedy about a girl on the rebound and her three new male best friends/roommates. Press play above and tell us if you find it as enjoyable as we did.
Plus, what does the latest Bad Robot project look like? (Hint: It's spooky, intriguing, sexy and features Jorge Garcia, which means that Alcatraz is much like several other great J.J. Abrams projects!) And are you ready to the dinosaurs in Fox's long-gestating epic genre series Terra Nova? The effects are finally ready and, well, they look pretty good. Take a peek:

Dearest TV gods: Please let Alcatraz be the project that finally makes Sarah Jones a huge star. She's done great work for so long and it's time for some recognition! Sincerely, Jen Arrow
Life on Terra Nova seems stressful, don't you think?
I Hate My Teenage Daughter stars two TV ladies we love, Katie Finneran (Wonderfalls) and Jaime Pressly, but we're not sure what to make of this concept.
The Finder will premiere midseason, after a block of Bones episodes filmed before Emily Deschanel goes on maternity leave.
