Paging Dr. House, stat!

House's prognosis for an eighth-season on Fox is looking grim, Variety reported today, unless last-minute contract negotiations can be resolved by April 15. If an agreement isn't reached, NBCUniversal, the studio that owns the series, could offer House to another network.

Read on to hear what House show runner David Shore told us today about the conundrum; plus, new scoop on Pretty Little Liars and another healthy dose of Ricky Gervais!

"The negotiations are ongoing," Shore said today, confidently adding: "Fox wants to have a season eight, and NBCUniversal wants them to have a season eight. So I fully expect there to be a season eight— I would be absolutely astounded if there wasn't—and we're proceeding on that basis."

The Ricky Gervais Show: Champanzee that! HBO confirms that controversial Globes host Gervais, comic Stephen Merchant and head-like-an-orange idiot savant (or just idiot) Karl Pilkington are returning—in animation form—for a third season of the half-hour comedy adapted from the trio's hit podcast series.

Pretty Little Liars: ABC Family confirms that Annabeth Gish (Brotherhood) has been cast as Anne Sullivan, a "mysterious therapist" counseling the girls. It's about time A's victims got some professional help, no? But hold up: Sullivan's been hired by the girls' families because no one—including the police—believes their account of what happened in the church. And just where did Ian dearly depart to? Guess we'll find out in season two, which premieres June 14.
