If Kevin Bacon is a man of his word (and he certainly seems it), he'll be heading to Modern Family very soon.

And if Julie Bowen has her way, she'll be making out with Kevin, then sharing a rageful yet poignant dance in a warehouse.

"Kevin Bacon just agreed to come on our show!" Modern Family star Jesse Ferguson (Mitchell) told me at last night's Golden Globes. "I just met him and I said, 'Come on our show," and he said, 'I'm comin!' So I'm personally casting him as a guest star. We're going to have Judy Greer, Minnie Driver and then Kevin Bacon."

Of course, Modern boss Steven Levitan and the ABC mucky-mucks will have to sign off on the whole thing, but really, minor detail, right? And Julie Bowen has already plotted out the whole hot and heavy storyline...

"Are you kidding me?!" Julie (Claire) gasped when I mentioned her costar's possible Kevin Bacon casting coup. "There will have to be flashbacks to Claire's past. He can be her ex-boyfriend and we can make out. I want the flashback to where we really get hot and heavy and dance to Footloose. I remember the dance in the warehouse. I remember every minute of that movie."

Julie says it's only fair Claire gets a hot ex-boyfriend, because Judy Greer is playing an old high school flame for Phil (Ty Burrell), whom he reconnects with via Facebook. "There may be a little bit of a smackdown," Julie said of Judy. "Definitely some physical comedy."

Jesse (Mitchell) has other ideas for Kevin: "We should do a whole six degrees thing where we get to the last one and it's him. It's really Kevin Bacon."

And then Claire makes out with him?

Are you bummed Modern Family didn't win Best Comedy/Musical last night? Would you like to see Julie Bowen play Ariel to Kevin's Wren? Or her playful pitch aside, would you like to see Kevin guest star regardless of what he's doing?
