Biggest Loser: Latest Castoffs Speak Out and Tim Gunn Steps In
Calling all Biggest Loser junkies: We just got off the phone with last night's booted contestants, Shay Sorrells and Daniel Wright, and you won't believe what they've been up to since they left the show. (Hint: Dropping a lot more poundage.)
First though, the holidays have come early, because "Makeover Week"—the best episode of the season—is on the way! Check out the preview above for your first look at the remaining six contestants being escorted away in a limo to get made over by Project Runway's fashion guru Tim Gunn and stylist goddess Tabatha Coffey.
As for Shay and Daniel, here's the skinny...
Even with two jobs, a husband and kids, Shay—who was the heaviest contestant ever on the ranch—has managed to drop more than 50 pounds at home! "Sometimes, I think, 'Why cant this be like the ranch?' " she tells us. "But the reality is that the ranch is not reality. I've changed my lifestyle."
Daniel, who has lost more than 225 pounds throughout the past two seasons, agrees it's been much tougher at home without the constant support system he had on the show. "I miss the people. You build very strong relationships on the ranch," he said.
Did they expect to get the boot? "I wasn't surprised by anybody's vote," Shay said. She admitted her supposed ally, Rudy, was a "game player" from day one. "When I lost 100 pounds I think I shocked the room more than I shocked myself and my trainers. Before, I wasn't a threat, I wasn't a big deal."
We were gunning for Shay and Daniel and are totally bummed they're off the ranch. How did you feel about last night's first-ever "red line?" Now that they're gone, who's your favorite to take home the prize?
