Well-played, top 10! They're not the most emotive or individually charismatic group of dancers in So You Think You Can Dance history, but technically these dancers are taking this show and running away with it.

You know how Tiger Woods forced championship golf courses to remodel in order to keep up with his over-the-moon drives? In the same way, these dancers are so good that the show is eventually going to have to stretch to keep up with them.

Now, let's discuss tonight's top 10 competition show, including an outstanding choreography premiere by SYTYCD alum and fan favorite Travis Wall...

Couples

Kayla & Evan performed a waltz by Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin. Evan succeeded in lifting the much-taller Kayla, so good for him, but the most memorable part of this number was Kayla's astonishing legs. Holy moly, girl!

Ade & Janette performed a funk by Napoleon and Tabitha D'Umo. Don't you love it when the clip reel manages to misdirect us about how the performance is going to go? Janette had no problem bringing the funk!

• Jeanine & Jason performed a contemporary by former SYTYCD competitor Travis Wall. Wow. What an utterly amazing piece, and so brilliantly performed by these two. Jason achieved above expectations, and Jeanine is growing by leaps and bounds.

• Kupono & Randi performed a paso doble by Tony Meredith and Melanie LaPatin. Sadly, there was nothing to write home about here. Well, except for Randi's crazy wig/extensions. Freaky!

• Brandon & Melissa performed a Broadway piece ("Aquarius" from Hair) by Tyce Diorio. This choreography was so blissed-out and dreamy that there wasn't a lot to latch on to, you know?

Solos

The standout solos were Jeanine and Janette for the ladies and Kupono and Evan for the guys. Jeanine's dance design was brilliant, and Janette killed it with the combination of hip-shaking, song selection and that cunning little number she was wearing. Kupono's solo was unique and strong, and Evan is just so damn adorable in his style.

On the bad side of things, Ade's song selection was a disaster. Everybody likes the Righteous Brothers but that music and those moves did not belong together.

Group Dances

What fabulous group dances we saw tonight! The girls did a Bollywood by Nakul Dev Mahajan and the gentlemen did an African number by Jeffrey Page.

The girls were delightful in their Indian dresses—although you've got to question the wisdom of the weird mustache faces on the reverse of their headpieces—and the boys were so badass in their African number.

To our eyes, Jason didn't entirely keep up the same pace as the other guys (including Evan), but with no major missteps, we can't slam him too hard.
